About
My name is Jasmina and I am studying Mechanical Engineering at the University of Florida. After graduating in May 2026. I plan to continue my education by pursuing a Master’s degree. I am part of AI Biomechanics Lab (AIBL) led by Dr. Kerry Costello, where we analyze how human movement can impact the development of musculoskeletal diseases such as knee osteoarthritis.
Research interest:
As musculoskeletal diseases are highly prevalent at people I became interested in studying mechanical aspects of those diseases, specifically knee osteoarthritis in our lab. Although my project does not directly finds solutions to this disease, it could potentially contribute to easier and more convenient analyzing of knee osteoarthritis on individual basis and studying how activities of daily living could contribute to its progression.
